Inspired by the success of previous fundraising campaigns, the Friends of the French Institute Trust has collected the whole budget that was required to renovate the children’s library. We would like to thank the 10 companies and 131 individuals who kindly answered our call and allowed us to refurbish the children’s library and complete the works for inauguration on 12 September 2015.

Who better than our good friend, patron and supporter Quentin Blake could give his name to the new children’s library? Sir Quentin Blake produced a beautiful mural decoration that you can admire since September 2015. Thanks to his generosity and support, children and pupils are off to a good start.

The new refurbished library offers:

– twice as much space than the previous library

– a welcoming place for families and a school friendly environment

– the latest digital technology and the best of children’s literature in French

The renovation project is still ongoing with a final fundraising call to modernise the adult’s area of La Médiathèque.
