Loan Conditions

You don’t have to be a member to use our Médiathèque. However, if you wish to have the true French experience and borrow any of our documents, membership is needed. For more information about membership and benefits, take a look at our Membership page.

Memberships borrowing rights

CLASSIC

Includes La Médiathèque and the Children’s Library
20 items for 3 weeks, including 10 feature film DVDs and new items.
All items can be renewed twice (if not needed by another member), excluding feature film DVDs and new items.

For the Children’s Library only
20 items for 3 weeks, including 10 feature film DVDs and new items.
All items can be renewed twice (if not needed by another member), excluding feature film DVDs and new items.

FAMILY

Includes La Médiathèque and the Children’s Library
80 items for 3 weeks, including 20 feature films and new items.
All items are allowed to be renewed twice (if not needed by another member), excluding feature film DVDs and new items.

Includes La Médiathèque and the Children’s Library
Unlimited number of items for 9 weeks.

60 items for 3 months.

Please bring your card to borrow items from La Médiathèque and Children’s Library. If you have lost your card, please inform us and we will replace it.

 

Renewals

Log-in to ‘My Account‘ and  renew your loans in your ‘Full Account Details’. Documents can only be renewed once online, in the last 5 days before the due date. To renew your documents a second time, please send us an e-mail.

Please note that documents that are overdue or reserved by another library user cannot be renewed.

Feature films (DVDs) cannot be renewed either.

 

Reservations

Log-in to ‘My Account‘, search for your item in the ‘Online Catalogue’ and click on the reservation button in the item’s description.

 

Overdue items

If documents are kept beyond the due date, members will not be able to borrow more items.

 

Replacements

If you have lost or damaged a document, we will ask you to purchase a new copy or to reimburse the value.
