IF I FIND THAT A COURSE IS UNSUITABLE FOR ME, CAN I HAVE A REFUND OR TRANSFER TO ANOTHER CLASS?
Students should consider their personal commitments and circumstances that may prevent attendance before enrolment.
Refund:
Classes are planned for a limited number of students. For this reason fees cannot be refunded once a course has started and no partial refund can be granted for classes not attended.
The institut français cannot accept any responsability for unforseen changes in students’ circumstances that may prevent attendance.
The following charges will apply: £36 if the written request is received more than 10 days before the course starts or 30% of the total course fee is the request is received 10 days or under before the first day of the course.
Transfer:
If a course proves inappropriate, transfer to another one is possible once only within the same enrolment period.
If the written request is received less than 10 days before the course starts, any change of course or schedule requested by students is subject to availability and an administrative charge of £36.
Please note that due to the very nature of the Live French elearning course, transfers and refunds requested by students are only possible if they are received more than 10 days before the start of the course.
Requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing or by email.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE MINIMUM CLASS SIZE IS NOT MET?
Should your course be affected, we will contact you directly to discuss your options, which may include:
SHOULD I BUY THE BOOK PRIOR TO THE COURSE?
Fees are exclusive of books.
For most General French courses you will have to get one textbook and one work book (which together cost around £30).
Your teacher will confirm which books you need during your first class.
DOES IT MATTER IF I MISS SOME OF MY CLASSES?
Students should consider their personal commitments and circumstances that may prevent attendance before enrolment.
Tuition fees based on pro rata basis will not be permitted.
Missed classes cannot be taken at another time.
The teacher can send you a summary of the material covered in that class and if necessary the homework.
Alternatively, you can use your free account on our online platform, in order to find out what material was covered and what homework was set.
If you know that you will have to miss some classes prior to your course, you can consider adding a Combo 1 or 2 of private tuition to catch up with what you have missed or to customise your needs.
