Djaïli Amadou Amal continues her Francophonie tour and goes to Edinburgh.
She will talk about her novel “Les impatientes” which was awarded the 2020 prestigious Goncourt students prize in France, and the 2021 Choix Goncourt prize in UK!
Forced marriage, marital rape, consensus and polygamy: this novel by Djaïli Amadou Amal breaks taboos by denouncing the status of women in the Sahel and delivers a moving novel on the universal issue of violence against women.
