The Heiresses

Garnering 4 wins at this year’s Berlinale, Marcelo Martinessi’s The Heiresses follows the story of Chela and Chiquita, two women of prosperous descent who find themselves destitute in their sixties. Chiquita is sent to prison, and Chela has no other choice than becoming a taxi driver. Chela finally begins to break out of her shell and engage with the world, embarking on her own personal, intimate revolution.
