CAN | 2022 | dir. Maxime Giroux, with Vincent-Guillaume Otis, François Arnaud and Christine Beaulieu
Starring François Arnaud and Vincent-Guillaume Otis, this film is a dramatisation of the real-life Norbourg scandal of 2005, when businessman Vincent Lacroix was convicted of defrauding thousands of investors and embezzling over $130 million in Quebec, Canada. When inspector and auditor Éric Asselin is mandated to monitor the activities of the Norbourg firm, he is so fascinated by the audacity of Vincent Lacroix that he leaves his post to become his right-hand man. Norbourg then thwarts the investigations and embezzles hundreds of millions of dollars. But the party can’t last forever when the company is surrounded from all sides.
