Women’s Rights Now!

Festivals & Series

From Afghanistan and Iran to the US and even closer to home, women’s rights are under attack. Join us for a series of films and discussions tackling issues faced by many women around the world: violence, inequality, lack of freedom and the denial of education. Presented at the Cannes Film Festival, Marie Perennès and Simon Depardon’s powerful documentary Feminist Riposte, brings to light everyday sexism. Women’s rights over their own bodies will be addressed with our discussion on Annie Ernaux’s auto-biographical novel Happening, followed by its film adaptation by Audrey Diwan, and the screening Annie Colère by Blandine Lenoir.
