Based on Paul Gallico’s beloved 1958 novel, Anthony Fabian’s film follows Ada Harris (Lesley Manville), a widowed cleaning lady who falls in love with a Dior couture dress and decides to travel to Paris to purchase one of her own. Once there, her quirky eccentricity and witty charm propel her on an adventure behind the scenes of the Dior design studio, providing her with a renewed lease of life. Featuring an all-star cast, including Isabelle Huppert and Lambert Wilson, and costumes by Academy Award winning costume designer Jenny Beaven, this feel-good period comedy is a sumptuous cinematic feast.
